how do you react to this kids i met?

i climbed up the hill as i reached the plains i saw this site of a playing kids outside their little home (nipa hut). as soon as they took noticed of me, they hurriedly approached me and asked where i was heading. i said i was going to the next hill, when i asked where their parents are, they said they're waiting for them and very much hungry that they asked me for food. fortunately, i brought biscuits and gave it to them, as they enjoyed eating i also rested for awhile hoping to recover my energy from climbing. these kids were left at home without any adult attending to them not even foods to eat. their parents were attending to the farms far away, they can only have lunch after their parents arrive.. usually at 5pm.
