DVD vs. VCD or SVCD

Why is the DVD better than these 2 predecessors?

The Digital Versatile Disc is better than the Super Video CD or the Video CD because of it's larger capacity and therefor its ability to store a whole movie at supreme viewing quality. Apart from quality, a multitude of audio streams, subtitles and special features, all controlled from a menu and make watching a movie more fun and more easy.
