should Mark McGuire been chosen for the baseball hall of fame?

there is a great deal of controvery on this because he did set the record for most home runs in a season but he was also found guilty of steroid use. should we overlook his cheating and let him in or punish him for breaking the rules?

I think he should be punished for doing steriods and lying about doing them. Maybe in a few years the voters will forgive him for it and let him in but for now, I dont think so.

I do not believe that he should be chosen for the Hall of Fame because of him using steroids. I think everyone feels he is guilty by his comments in front of Congress. He weaseled his way through it and does not deserve to be in the Hall. His records and totals should be wiped out like he never played. We can not allow cheaters into the Hall of Fame.
