Let's be honest, it is not easy to get off with someone you knew for so long, you've been with for years...Memories will always be there but, as time passed, slowly, things will resolved its way of forgetting this person. If i were you, i'll make myself busy with other stuff. Go out with friends and meet new acquaintances. Don't let yourself feel alone. Prove to that person that you are better off with him. Chin up. Stay focus. Be the real "YOU". There are much better person/s out there. That person is not really meant for you, and you must be thankful that it end earlier when you can still hold on to yourself. Just feel the day and SMILE! Your life is at your hand. Your heart will find the right person soon, in time...

Time, that's all I know of. Try doing things with friends and stay active.

nope, you just have to go through it. Keep yourselve occupied and pray and ask God to relieve that pain.

Lots of sleep, time to cry and grieve the relationship, good friends, and time, time, time.

Friends are the biggest factor I think. Go out with them, party hard for a little while and just get on with your life. The pain will still be there but it gets less and less when you realise there is life outside them.
It also helps me to think of the things I didn't like. There are always things that annoy you about a person and when you break up with them you never EVER think of them :P So if you sit down and have a little "argh! he cut his toenails inside!" session it always makes you feel better (especially if you add "man, and Im so cool, I used to be the best person at his family get togethers!" to boost your own ego :)

trash all the things that make u to remember him/her. Make your life busy with something else like school, work or another gf/bf hunting. if u remember him/her try to focus on her/his negative attitude in that way u will feel that shes/hes nothing. Be optimistic, reasoning urself that it might be happen coz somebody else's waiting for u, a girl/man much better than him/her.

what i normally do is
1) go out and party with friends
2) work work and work
3) go online and flirt with guys (LOL! juz kidding)
4) talk with close friends. they couldnt help much but it felt so much better letting it all out instead of locking myself in the room and crying my eyes out

Try to find things to do to take your mind off of it. Concentrate on work or school or take up a new hobby or read a book!

no doubt you'll get 1000 different replies to this but there is no EASY way to get over anyone you truly cared about. time time time time...... sad but true. does make it easier if you don't keep seeing them all the time cause that makes it difficult to move on
