relationships and beliefs

how do you feel about having a relationship with someone who has opposite beliefs (religion) than you? can a relationship like this work?

I am a christian with someone for 5 1/2 years that is agnostic, or has no beliefs but doesnt really know for sure. I think it can as long as you respect the others beliefs and dont down them for what they believe.

I'll take them to church and teach them what I think and let them make their own decision.
