Yes i believe that saying. once you lie... you have to make another lie to make other people believe the first lie. Like in our case... my husband has another woman. I decided to let go since they were on for two years and theres nothing I can do... but he beg me not to let his mother know about it... And I agree because his mother is suffering heart problems. When I have to move out from their house because I want to start my own life... I have to lie that I have to rent a room while schooling for my convenience. Now I have to lie about the thought that my husband and I is living in the same house... the fact that he's with the girl. We have to meet every week end so that we can visit his parents together... I dont know when will we have to stop lying.

This is a sad thing to happen. How can he ask you to worry about his mother's health or feeling and he wasn't worried that you where hurting. You know what. He needs to face his own problems. It's he who caused the marriage to break. You should let the mother feel the reality, you can try by not attending all the time.I mean, you're free, he left you, you shouldn't feel obliged to do anything that he asks of you. Well, anyways, this story certainly shows how stupid he was for betraying you. Someone with a heart like yours don't deserve a person like that, but one question though. Do you still love him?

It's good you have decided to cut down to the 'lying'. There really are times when we can't help but lie. Specially if we're dealing with creeps who lie to us all the time. But if I were you, I'd stay away from people who lie to me. I mean, nothing there is real. You have to throw garbage away. =)

Well, yes, that is definately true. I try to avoid lies at any cost, because they do weave a web of deceit that everyone gets caught up in. My only exception is little white lies, like telling a friend her new outfit is nice when I may not think so, just to protect her feelings. In more complex situations the more ies you tell, the more you have to tell.

I found that tends to be true. Usually my lies are mostly that of omission or error , something that I thought was true, but I misinterpreted the meaning. Sometimes I get things wrong and it was mostly about what I was doing and where I was. I moved a lot, but always returned to the same place. I then started to tell everyone that I may have been there, or I was there, but unsure about the year and the month since I did not keep track or a notebook. I do not like lies where you have to keep lying to make it the truth. I therefore try not to get into that type of situation.

yes this is very true..big hole came from small hole..as well as big lies came from small lies. i guess we can't deny this..we always say that white lie is not a lie..but it's a lie..whatever it is..when you lied it's continious and it will be a habit. :(

yeah, for me I got used to tell white lie for the purpose of joking or self-complancent vanity. It often happened that you tell a white lie with the result of that you have to tell more lies which lead a series of deceits finally ,as could do great harms to the parties. How ashamed i feel of ever doing that.
