6 Feet Under....

Does anybody know why people are buried 6 feet under?What is the reasoning behind it?

I don't but will look forward to reading the discussion. Have you ever watched the HBO series "Six Feet Under". It was very good. I think the final season, though, has already aired.

I don't know why exactly 6 feet under....And i don't think i want to know....PS...if it is for the crawling out...grr i think i will bury my relatives 12 feet under from now on

It's harded to claw your way out I guess! Sorry, only kidding! I'm not sure why that is. There must be a good reason, though. Someone out there must know..

I think, it's because anything above it can be easily unburried and the smell could come out.
