Why do the TV channels show a movie two times back to back?

This is really irritating. After watching a movie on some chanel on the TV .It is again repeated in the same channel. And what if we are free in the weekends and watch to another movie and we find that those movies are only repeated. And moreover they show sma movie so many times that we really get bugged up sometimes. What do you think?
