what link do you often use here on mylot?
i use often "discussion my friend start" "discussion i've responded to"
"today hot topics" and as well "discussion from my interest"

I usually choose "new discussion","discussion with no responses", and "new user discussion"
Usually the answer is easy and because you are the first one, try to respond good so they may rate you up.
Responding in the discussion you started don't raise your number of post.
