A description of a Christian would be "a follower of Christ". One who acknowledges Jesus and adheres to the teachings and moral laws of the bible.
To be one you must confess Jesus as your saviour, repent of all your sins, and try to live and abide in a "Christian way of life". Which means to live in a Godly way- towards your family, friends and neighbors.

I would say a christian is one who believes in Jesus Christ. Other than that i find it hard to give a discription. people live as christians in a multitude of different ways, they belong to different churshes, and belong to different traditions. I am sure if you asked all christians this question you'd be surprised with the number of different answers you'd get.

Actually, if you read the bible. The first worshippers/believers of God were first called as Christians, it is in Antioch where they were first called. I think Christianity has many branches, from 'Born Again' up to 'Protestants. It's more different than Catholicism, though Catholic is also one of it's branches. Christianity has many different views, from many different branches..
