dogs sleeping with kids?

Do you let your dogs sleep in the same bed or room as your kids? I have 3 dogs now and 3 kids. One dog sleeps with my daughter every night. We got the dog just before my lil girl was born, so they are close. Another dog sleeps with my middle son until he gets up in the night to sleep with us, then as my son crawls in bed with us, the dog goes to the couch. My baby has no dog sleeping under his crib. But my last dog always sleeps wherever I do.

Yes, I allow my pets to sleep with my kids. My mini pin will make the rounds at night. They start out with one child. But by nights end they atre sleeping with another child.

i don't have kids but i don't let my dog sleep with me. My mom and dad dont want that. maybe because we were not accustomed to having dogs inside our rooms and on our beds. but i understand people who have dogs with them in their beds.

I don't think it's good for people to sleep with dogs. Dogs emit gas and exhale carbondioxide too like us and that is of course pollution. We breathe in what they exhale if we are too near to them and so we are breathing in carbondioxide which is poison as we are supposed to inhale oxygen. For people to be with us, that's normal and we couldn't avoid it but animals to be with us, to sleep with us, of course, that could be avoided and so why risk our health for our love of our pets. We should take good care of them and that should be sufficient enough. I am not at all in favor of having myself and children and anybody in the house to sleep with my pets so near to inhale what they exhale.

I am sorry but this makes no sense what so ever to me. We breathe in the air around us every day, and it is full of carbon dioxide and it does not hurt us. If we slept with our faces right together it would be a little silly. My dog sleeps in the crook of my knee and is under the covers, how can that affect what I breathe? Do you sleep with your husband? Have you been sick? If you believe this way then you could avoid sleeping near him too. I would think that that thought process would cause you to sleep with plants beside your pillow or perhaps under your nose. I know I sound rude and am sorry, but I feel it is way off base. If I am wrong please provide a link to something that says otherwise but I have never heard of anyone getting sick or dying because someone or something was sleeping beside them. I still rate yo a + for contributing your opinion, I would just like to know WHY you think this way.

My Izzy sleeps with me every night unless she is kidnapped by my daughter. She is warm and snuggly and I hate when she is not beside me. Wouldn't you want this cutie to be near you! I also have 2 cats that share my bed. One all the time and the other just when SHE wants to warm up!

My dogs and cat aren't allowed to sleep in the baby's room. Every once in a while my cat will be under the crib and stay in there with him when me and the dogs leave the room. But we try to keep her out when he is sleeping because she likes to get in his bed. He's almost 13 months old now, so we aren't worried she will smother him (he can pick her up and throw her when he wants to) because he's such a light sleeper. We just don't want her to potty in there during the night since she doesn't have a litter box in there! Both dogs always sleep in our bed. The little one will sleep on a pillow if she gets a chance. The big one always lays on my side of the bed, at the foot if she's hot, up by my side if she isn't. The cat will sleep in our bed, too, if she gets closed into our room. Otherwise she sleeps on the couch.

I never let my pets sleep in the baby s room. My 5 year old dog might occasionally crawl under his crib to check things out. he likes small spaces, so he might sleep in there. i keep the door shut unless i'm doing laundry, so he raely gwets in

My animals always sleep with us. They tend to move from our bed to my daughter's bed several times thruout the nite. They also like to sleep while in constant contact with either my hubby and I or our daughter.
