Where do your "brainstorms" come from???

I seem to do my best thinking in the shower. If something's puzzling me, for some reason when I'm in the shower, the lights just go off and everything is clear. ALmost EVERY morning, in the shower, I have a great discussion topic and idea. Guess why I don't post a topic every day... Yeah, by the time I'm out of the shower, dried and dressed, get to the computer - BAM!!! It's gone. When I'm in the shower this is the greatest idea ever! I mean, it's interesting (or at least I think it is) and I think other people would like to hear it and discuss it, but for some reason it just does not stick into my brain long enough to get to myLot! And it's not just myLot stuff, it's regular work stuff also. I'll realize something I need about work and by the time I'm out of the shower, I have no clue what it was. Now, I'm not THAT old, but I do realize that with society today we are just bombarded with way too much information. There's just no way to keep it all in. So I figure I must be most relaxed in the shower and am able to think of new things. Where are you when you get your good ideas? And are you able to get them written down or are you somewhere where you have to remember it for later?

Here's a good old trick that you might have missed. SLEEP ON IT. ;-) Before you go to bed, think about what issue you need inspiration for and tell yourself that when you wake up tomorrow, you will know what you need. You'll be surprised at how uncanny this thing is... it just works! ;-)

That sounds like the Franklink Covey way to do things! In their planning seminars, they tell you to write down everything you plan on accomplishing for the next day and it will get done. But I can barely keep up with today sometimes!

i usually get my "brainstorm" when i am on my computer room. Because it's very pleasant place and good for thinking. I don't know why it's should be like that, i think it's about habit. Because when i was teenager until now, computer always be my friends.

i get my best ideas right before i go to bed. when i am laying there trying to sleep they all come and then in the morning there all gone. i can never think of anything when i need to, like last night i tried to think of a song for myspace and couldn't think of any, went to bed and they all came to me. i hardly ever get to write my ideas down because i useally are too tired to get up and write them down.

I usually get some great ideas at 2am. I used to keep pencil and paper by the bed so I could jot them down really quick and go back to sleep.
