In you own way and use, which of these two candles would you prefer to have in your homes: Gel Candles or Wax Candles? Why so?

Well, I usually go with wax candles. I think that the gel ones are pretty but I have never seen why the companies add all those extras in with the candles as I am sure that all of those decorations don't burn. It looks to me as though it might be a fire hazard.

I make my own soy candles. They burn better & smell better. Paraffin candles are made from the crap at the bottom of the barrel of petroleum. When they burn the give off soot and carcinogens. I would rather support our farmers & burn cleaner non-carcinogenic candles.

I think gel candles are supposed to last longer and be more economical, and i'm sure i ehard that they also produce less smoke too. I'm not sure if you can get scented gel candles though, and i only really use scented candles, so for me wax candles would be better.

I make and sell paraffin wax candles. I don't like dealing with gel. I think gel candles are pretty and if you don't want to burn the, then they are nice to just look at especially with all the stuff that people put into them. But, if you are looking for a candle to burn, I would keep with wax candles.
