I have been in these countries norway, sweden, denmark, poland, germany, belgium, netherlands, france, island, portugal, spain, italy, slovakia, czech rep., USA, monaco, andorra, luxenbourg, and the islands of Tenerif, Madeira, Gran Canaria which belongs to Portugal. Myself I am from Norway, so the travel distance is not that long, compared to a US citizen who has to travel to these countries. but I have only been in USA outside of EUrope, I will go to australia soon hopefully, Tom

You're very lucky to live where you do. It takes us almost 6 hours of driving just to get out of Florida and head to another state. Of course, we could fly to the Bahamas in 45 minutes and many other places in just a few hours...

I have lived in 3 states and have traveled thru about 20 different states. My Mom took me to Canada when I was very young. I don't remember ever being there. I am planning a European trip in about 3 years. I want to visit Poland, Hungary, Austria and Wales. I have been researching my family tree, so visiting the countries of my ancestors is something I really want to do. Besides...I think it will shatter a lot of brick walls I have run into while researching.

I'd love to hear about your European trip and see pictures in 3 years. Great countries to be visiting.

I'm in my sixties and still have that dream. At least you're young enough to work toward making it come true. Good luck with your dream.

i have been to spain and jersey. i love jersey, it is one of the channel islands and very french influenced. the island is very small so you can cycle round it in no time. the beaches are beautiful. they have their own cows, jersey cows, that are well looked after so one of the island specialities is cream, they grow their own strawberries so a lovely treat on the island is strawberries and cream, and also cream teas which is a pot of tea with scones, strawberry jam and cream, yummy!

I have never left Australia, but have travelled a lot through our own country. Still plenty more to see of course, and that will happen as long as we keep reasonable health and can drive ourselves. We used to say that we would not venture overseas until we had seen all of our country, but that looks like changing. Our son will be going to Canada in a couple of months, so the plan is that we will be visiting him there next year. For us it will mean a stop-over for a couple of days between Australia and Canada and then the same on the way back. These stopovers will probably be in South East Asia somewhere, but that is still in the planning stage. We will also be venturing into the USA, as my husband has some relatives who live near the Canadian border and we would like to meet them. :) So next year I will go from never having left Australia to visiting at least 4 countries other than my own. :)

I have visited many states within the USA, however I have only visited one other country and that was Canada. I do hope to eventually visit some of the countries that I have been longing to see, for instance Australia, England, New Zealand and visit a few places in Europe. Well, I could only hope...SS

Another big traveler. I sure would love to see all those countries also, especially Sweden as I have many relatives living there. My sister and cousin are going there again in July, and they are both so excited to be going again after 2 years. Last year, some of our relatives came over here to the US, and we had a big family gathering so the rest of us could also meet them.

I used to have neighbors from Malaysia and Singapore and they showed me many pictures of their countries. My sister has been to Singapore and Hong Kong and loved both of them. It's never silly to be happy to touch a statue when you're traveling.

Having been a trucker, travel hasn't really interested me since I got off the road...delivered in every state of the US lacking only Alaska and of course Hiwaii. Delivered in several parts of Canada and down to Mexico. Old truckers saying It don't matter where you go the best road leads to home.

So true...the best road does lead to home. I can imagine you might be tired of traveling. Thanks so much for responding.
