I am just moving into a new place, I am on my own for the first time in 10 years. I will be in a place where I can get 24 hour care for things like cleaning and food prep. I feel more safer here than when I was married. I feel free and that I can finally get my life back on track and have no worry for harm.

I do feel safe in my house. I thought I wouldn't when my partner moved out, but in fact I haven't worried at all about someone breaking in. It isn't that great a neighbour hood but has a worse reputation for car crime than anything else.

I live in a very good neighbourhood. So i feel very much safe to live in my house. Besides i have very good neighbours 24x7. Therefore i dont have the need of any alarm systems. Luckily no one has ever broken in and i hope not in the future.

I didn't have an alarm system in my home back in November 1st. Some thiefs broke into my home and stole a computer, tv, gamecube, games, jewelry, lawn mower, clothing and damaged my front door. The good thing is we have home insurance and it covered most of the items. After the robbery we put the alarm system in our home and feel more secure.

Yes, I feel safe in this neighbourhood. It's a military town so it's considerably safer, I think. But I still have a security system installed and I check all the doors and windows to make sure they are locked before I go to bed. I also have a big dog. She doesn't do anything but hopefully if someone decides to break in and sees the dog, he/she might think twice! hahaha! But so far, things have been ok. I haven't had any problems. Even when my husband was deployed for 7 months and I had to stay alone with my baby, I was not scared.

I've always felt a little edgy when it came to living on my own no matter where I lived. I actually lived in nice areas, except for 1 and had a dog that was a great guard dog, but could never really sleep great. Now I've been living in the country in the middle of no where kinda and it doesn't bother me so much anymore. I think I was just not comfortable until I found a place that was like home to me.(I still get a little scared if the dog starts barking in the middle of the night, lol).

I do because we have lived here for 2 years now and nothing bad has happened. When I was a single mom with my daughter we lived in an apartment and I was constantly waking up in the night to make sure everything was okay. I would look out the windows and make sure no one wsa outside. Now that I am married it is a little better, I just have horrible visions of someone breaking into out house and doing god-knows what to us, or stealing my kids. I probably watch too many scary TV shows!

I do feel safe and secure in my home but as for outside in my neighbourhood that's a different matter. In home you have added security but when outside, you don't know who you are going to encounter.

We now live in a small town where right now you don't have to worry about things like that. We used to live in florida and we always locked our doors and windows but never had anyone try to break in. Since we came back to iowa we still always lock our car doors and house is locked up too. People think we are nuts at times but the crime rate is on the rise here too. Better to be safe than sorry.
