Why was Grizzly Man So Stupid?

What was up with the Grizzly guy? I thought to myself how silly he sounded, I got to say he sounded alittle light in the loofers, I watched part of the documentary and was shocked that he sounded wierd. Does anybody know if he was a bubble off or something? It love the dang bears but they killed him so wierd like, what was this guys real deal?

He was an idiot because he thought that his love for the bears would overcome their years of predatory instinct.
