The nicest thing about Helium is that when you post an article, it keeps paying residuals. However, I am yet to find the "logic" behind which articles do well, and which don't. I do get the sense-- both from watching my own articles, and from reading about other people's experiences in the Helium forums-- that choosing the right topics is VERY important. It is best to write about something that has real-world applications, and that isn't too "mass market." In other words, writing articles about "How Helium works" isn't going to earn you much money, nor is the 12345678th review of an iPod. Contrast that with the way certain articles might end up earning 50 cents or a dollar A DAY for ONE article... that can add up in a hurry. I haven't been there long enough to offer much expertise, however.

You need to write atleast 5 articles a day intially.Only then you can see some money in 2 months time. Now earnings in helium have gone up really than it was 6 months ago. To write an effective article for Helium you must first have some knowledge of the question. Once you have the basic knowledge of the question follow up with a bit of research to make sure you are correct and if not get the right information. Once you got the knowledge simply put it into your own words. Write clearly, make sure grammar and spelling are correct, and answer the question you set out to answer. If you want to list a few examples or links feel free to do so but don't make your complete article examples or links. State facts not your opinions unless the question asks for what you think or how you feel. Get to the point you are trying to make as soon as possible so as your answer is not extremely long. If an article is too long people may tire of reading and vote for the other article instead of yours. Most importantly keep writing and your articles will improve each time. Good luck !!! I get more than a dollar a day from the site. http://www.helium.com/user/show/12693

I have heard many things about Helium, but never tried it. One thing that was negative that I heard was that they usually edit your article to their liking, which I like my freedom of speech. I have nothing against helium, and I bet it is a great money maker. One question that I have is this: Does it payout in E-gold? I need to know because that is the only one I can use. I hope helium does well, and otherwise I hear it i a great website!

Helium doesn't edit your articles. They go live as soon as you write them. The only time that's different is when you create a new topic, then they review it and they might ask you to edit it, but they don't change it themselves.

So let me tell you about my experiences with Helium, I wrote an article on my website telling people what it's about and what I do for a liveing. helium took that article and declined it because they said it was promoteing my site. Well yes it's promoteing my site but it also has some good information there. Wondering if I can write a book on helium and maybe make some money there. wonder if they will delete that for what they call promotion. Take care jon
