does anyone know if this is true?

I need to know if this is true. It's just too gross. If it is true, it would almost be enough to put me off chocolates! Only almost... Lol. I read in an article that it takes three days for the body to completely eliminate a square of chocolate candy size of an Exlax dose. In other words, if you eat a little square of a Hershey candy bar (You know how it's divided into letters, so if you eat one "H", for example) then you are actually eating something about twice the size of the Exlax dose. Now an Exlax (which is a laxative in the form of a "chocolate candy") will course do its thing and yoru body will eliminate it in probably 12 to 24 hours along with a bunch of other stuff. What this article was saying that the same amount of regular chocolate candy actually affects your metabolism for about three days, slowing things down and leaving its caloric and fatt damages as well. If this is true... I am very worried.

I wouldn't really be surprised if it were true. It has no fiber and very low water content. The fattiness also slows down the digestion process. I would think, though, that also eating a healthy diet with lots of fresh fruits and veggies and water would offset the occasional chocolate treat and help it pass through your body. It's all about balancing your diet.

yeah.. they are used by soldiers because it is the easiest to bring energy snack.. a bar of chocolates can make a person very active... it has sugars and certain gluten that is important for them... and besides they needed all the energy they can get... its a lot different with people who are just stationary and sits all day in front of the computer.. you don't use up the energy the chocolate bar brings that's why it turns out to slow your metabolism

Where did you read this article? I would like to read it. I would not be happy it this was true because I eat chocolate every day. It is my reward to myself for not going psycho on someone. I eat just a tiny piece, but it may explain why I can't lose weight!
