how do you deal with anger?

let me share with you a story i read from there's this boy who had an extremely bad temper. one day his father told him to dig nails into the fence every time he lost his temper. this the boy did until the time came when he didn't lost his temper anymore. his father, then told him, to remove the nails from the fence each time he was able to hold his temper. the boy did this until all the nails from the fence was gone. the father told him, see? the marks of the nails will always be there, no matter how many times you attempt to remove them. so be careful with what you say and what you do to another person. remember anger is just one letter short of danger. another friendly tip: if ever you're on the verge of losing your temper, take 10 deep breaths. it'd calm your nerves and make you feel a lot better then.

I keep my anger to myself. I do not show it to outsiders. I know its bad but thats me. But if I am at home, I yell and then calm down. I have tried counting, breathing reading, walking but nothing works for me because thoughts come very rapidly into my head that I cannot ignore. I try hard.
