Do "THE DEPARTED" deserved ACADEMY AWARD??

hey frnds wht do u say did the movie "THE DEPARTED" deserved ACADEMY AWARD inspite of such language used in the movie...??? well as far as my view is concerned IT Definetly deserved coz LEONARDO-DI-CAPRIO was amazing ...he did the role of a lifetime..!!!

yes..departed is goin to be the best picture this time for oscar.am sure abt this..i have watched this film and it deseves it.

hey dear, donno much about this, i have not seen the movie, bu tofcourse have heard that LEONARDO-Di-CAPIRO was too good in dat. Will try to see the movie soon and then will see to ur post again, whether it desrerved the award or not.

I think it does deserve the Academy Award, you can't just rate how good it is by the language because good films do portray realistically the language that people uses and I know for sure that there are those people out there. Just because it has a lot of bad language doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the award.
