well... boiled pasta is very fast, very good and also very healty! you just have to boil the quantity of pasta you want in a lot of salted water. When pasta is ready, take it off from water and put it in a dish, flavour it with oil, a little bit of grated cheese like parmigiano and meld everything. it is a very simple and good dish, very light because no fats are added (remember a little bit of oil is needed by our body, it hepls us being regular and keep joung!!!) and really great. You just need a saucepan and a dish, so no dirty kitchen and no mountains of saucepans to clean! You can change oil with butter, but i prefer oil!

My favorite easy and filling recipe is Corned Beef Stew. You will need: 1 can corned beef 1 medium potato peeled and cubed 1 medium onion, sliced 1 tablespoon garlic crushed salt and pepper to taste 1 cup water Saute garlic in a tablespoon of oil, add cubed potatoes, after 3 minutes add the corned beef. continue sauteing then add the onion. when onion is transparent add the water (you may add if you like more water) then add salt and pepper according to your taste. simmer for a few more minutes until potatoes are tender.

One of my favorites is veggie stir fry. I just buy a bag of frozen mixed Asian vegetables from the store for $1 and saute them in a pan with oil, garlic and soy sauce. I serve it on a pile of brown rice. Pasta is always easy too. Just cook the pasta and throw on either jar sauce or some canned tomatoes with italian seasoning, olive oil and garlic.

One night a week, usually when I am really tired from work and don't feel like doing much, we have a baked potato bar. I put some large baking potatos in the microwave. I open some pre-shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, a can of chili, and I chop some brocolli. I either leave the brocolli uncooked or steam it in the microwave after the potatos are done. There have been other things that I have put out for various people's tastes! Sometimes I have a request for some drained black beans, chives whatever. Of course there is butter, salt and pepper too! Each person fixes their potato with whatever they choose! I have also done a lot of the prep on Sunday afternoon before so that when I come home tired on a weeknight all the brocolli is chopped, cheese is shreddd etc!

A baked potato bar! Wow! I love the sound of that! I adore that you've even given it a name! Potatoes are one of my favourite foods, so this is definitely on the list! Oooh, I can have pineapple pieces with the potato too... excellent!
