Help me to understand VB.Net

I am currently taking interest in programming I am currently learning Vb.Net ,Oracle9i , SQL Server 2005 but The problem which I has is in VB.Net that I dont understand what is the use of learning and I am having difficulty in writing codes Please help me to know more about VB.Net and please tell me a site where I can download free online books for learning VB.Net and a place where I can learn easy examples of making codes.

your best try is always a forum where you can discuss problems related to your code among other people that will help you sort it out

i learn .net with the msdn. i found intersting subject to build the program i try to buid and when i build i learn new function ans search about then in the msdn
