Chances at the world cup

Given the up and down performances over the last six months, what do you think are India's chances at the world cup? Are Dravid's men up against "The Wall" or do they have it in them to emulate Kapil's Devils?

India has very good chance of doing well at world cup if they play to their potential match after match consistently esp. in crunch matches and crunch situations. As we have matchwinners like sachin, sourav, dhoni, yuvraj and so our batting is strong and has to fire to win us at world cup then our bowling can become quite effective & if fielding is managed well esp. taking catches then Indian team should do very well. Beides we have two world class spinners. And the pitches and crowds at carribean would favour us.

You are right that the spinners hold the key to India's success, but the biggest test for me would be the consistency of the match-winners you have mentioned. Over the last decade only Sachin, Saurav and Dravid have shown any kind of consistency in their performance. Anyhow let's hope for the best... Ooh Aah India, Aaya India.

as i am an indian i will support india,for sure.but i dont think india can win world cup because both south africa and australlia is in good form!i know newZealand beat ausies but i dont think they can win world cup.according to my opinion south africa will won world cup.finalist may be between india or ausies! best of luck india and sachin.many of my friends thinks sa will won!
