My 8 yr old tomcat Tigger can wake you up when he gets into deep sleep and starts to snore! I thought dogs were bad! It's certainly not the size that causes this condition! How about yours?

I have two cats. But, only the little girl snores. She is so cute. She puts her head on my pillow, lays on her back like a child, and she snores all night long in my ears. Sometimes she has nightmares too, and crys out. I have to wake her up, massage her, she purrs, and goes back to snoring.

Nor sleeps by my head and whistles very low in his sleep. He sometimes crys out from a nightmare, too. I do the same as you and he's back to whistling in no time.

My cat Honey snores when he sleeps on his back, but when he's curled in to a ball he doesn't, I think he copies my husband when he snores!

My two-year old cat Waffles always snores as she sleeps in bed. I can hear her clearly because she sleeps on the pillow next to mine or close to my feet. Her snoring reminds me of a person's snoring.

I have a cat that's only a year and a half old and her purr is SO loud that I can't even have her on the bed with me at night. It's like sleeping with a tractor because her "motor" is so loud. Even when she's sleeping about 15 feet across the room on the sofa, sometimes it wakes me up at night because she's so noisy. I love her, but she has to sleep in the other room.

My cat snores too. It's pretty funny because it too isn't all the time, just when he's really warm and cozy. Usually just when he's cuddling with me. I think it's more a sign of contentment, like purring, than actually snoring the way humans do though.

We have 2 or 3 cats that snore. A couple of them are on the heavy side, so I've wondered if the extra weight has anything to do with it. Another one I heard snoring yesterday is in good shape and not too heavy. I'm not sure why he was snoring?!

My cats - A box full of cats
I have never heard of a cat that snores. I have seven cats and I love when they sleep with me. They never snore only purr and I love this I find it to be a very soothing sound, it puts me to sleep.

snoring cats/dogs i can live with. its when cats mistake you for a trampoline that drives me batty. i'm sleeping peacefully, and boom, twenty pounds of cat right in the middle of the stomach... or when a dog farts. my late father's dog would let fly some really bad ones, and he liked to sleep in your bed...
