Is the more tags you put what makes a discussion a top discussion ??

I have noticed when i look at discussions that the ones with 5 or more tags on them, tend to be the top discussions of the day??
if this is so, you could wtite about nothing and just stick heaps of tags on it to make sure it is seen more.
Let me know what you think, im going to put a few tags on this discussion just to see myself.

Hi troopy. I have actually been experimenting with that myself too. I tried to enter 10 tags on a discussion because I had been told you could enter that many, but I was surprised that only 5 appeared anyway. As I've been watching, I noticed that the 5 tags shown may actually change if you had entered more than 5. When other members enter the tags they want to define the discussion, and it matches one of the tags that didn't show before, they actually get shifted around. On a very busy discussion, you should have the 5 most used tags used by everyone.
I think it's a very good way to learn more about setting up metatags if you like to create your own webpages. It's a good way to see more tag options when others enter something different than you did. :)
