The latest big threat to the effect of Global Warming is the danger for small islands be erased in world map. Sea level will rise as the giant iceberg start to melt. Each one of us has the great chance to help stop or delay the impact of Global Warming... So, readers and members and visitors as well, of mylot... are you just gonna watch or be responsible enough to share your responses now...?

I have been researching this topic a lot lately. On a US government web site I found the statistic that the oceans have been rising about 1 millimeter/year for over 100 years. That is not about to drown out any islands. Now, let's suppose that global warming accelerates that. Even 10 times faster would only be a centimeter/year. It would take many decades, maybe even a century or two most likely, before the rising of the oceans accelerated by a factor of 10. So, the most logical thing to do would be to have an evacuation plan ready and watch how fast the oceans rise. When the oceans start rising at a rate that any given island could go under within 10 years, evacuate that island.

This will mean that the ocean is rising from its original level. So if the condition of the warming "increase to considerable rate" sea level will rise up faster than the statistics mentioned.
