Would you be stingy?

If you won the lottery would you hoard the money? I would look up all the people from my past that made a differnce in mine and my childrens lives and bestow some cold cash on them! There were so many times as a single parent with no child support outsiders helped me. Sometimes it was little things, but sometimes it was huge things. Would'nt you want to try to repay them?

Tut,tut! Be careful. Most winners of lottery jackpots end up broke within 3-5 years - even some of the largest pots. Yes, of course, you want to help others and of course you should but be smart about it. Consider starting a foundation, regardless of the size of your winnings. Tax considerations tend to be the biggest pitfall so check with an accoutant and a tax attorney before you even claim your prize. If you are ever blessed with such a windfall, and I hope that you are, I would encourage you to build a legacy for your children and their children. Remember, it is much easier to save a drowning man when you are standing on solid ground.

I would help out everyone in my family and my closest friends and anyone that has helped me out in the past. I couldn't be stingy to those that helped me. That would be wrong. But I would also look out for all the people that are just starting to come around because you have the money just so that they can get some.
