What is the absolute worst TV theme song?

For me it's the theme to the show "Enterprise". It's now being shown on the SciFi channel with back to back episodes on Monday nights. I love the show but the opening theme song is just awful in my opinion!
Sometimes it just really gets on my nerves and I have to hit the mute button on the remote until the show starts.

The song for the show "Friends" gets me shut of the TV every single time... and i agree with your selection of the theme for "Enterprise", too! Dang! You'd think that somebody could write theme music that had staying power, instead of the very opposite effect... I wonder who does their viewer surveying?

I'm a Tree Worshiping, Earth Loving, Axe Throwing Pagan/ Witch male... you can get behind the fact that I really enjoyed wathing three very beautiful and sexy "Witches" kick much demon butt!
The music played on "Charmed" was really excellent and "theme appropriate" and made up for all of the really bad choices that some of these so-called "series music" selectors had made...
This discussion is great! :) I've really cut back on watching TV these days, what with all the great stuff that available online for free...

Ok I get the tree worshipping, earth loving, pagan witch male... where does the axe throwing come in? Did I miss something or is this your own Book of Shadows gig? I have a few friends who are pagan witch female but none have mentioned the axe throwing. Hmmmm... the more I think about it... very cool! I suppose it would go totally against my "karma" to practice on the guy's car next door with the big subwoofers... LOL
I'm a huge fan of Charmed!Great theme song.. yes definitely. Watch it every morning to start off my day. And yes I can see where you would get a charge out of watching the girls kick demon butt! Me... I just loved the clothes... just wish I had Alyssa's body so I could look that good in them.. dang that girl got buff in the last year or so of the show didn't she! Must have had a personal trainer.

Isn't it the truth! That's the kind
of body that a girl has before having a baby.
Never after wards. I should know.
Though Heidi Klume did pull off the
miraculous baby bulge weight loss deal
after her second child and presumably
that was cause she worked her tail off.
I need to get a trainer, fast!
As far as worst theme songs, I'd have
to say that my least favorite
would be King of the hill.
It's not so bad if you hear it once a week,
but sometimes my spouse watches it everyday
online at my free movie blog.
Not cool! LOL!

I hate all the music in Seinfield. I would like that show 10x more if it didn't have that god-awful "music". Can I even call it music! Gah what is that??? It's actually a pretty good show and I think the music ruins it for me.

I never watched the Seinfeld show but I know the music you're talking about, I've caught bits of it while channel surfing. That bass guitar constantly popping is a bit annoying... funny thing is my husband is the bass guitar player in our band and he doesn't like it either! LOL.
Thanks for your response, I'm glad I'm not the only person who gets irritated at stuff like that on TV.

There have been a few I disliked, but recently I posted a letter complaining about the fact that in TV shows that include violence, I noticed that when people are beating each other up, if there is music its usually rock, loud, fast- but if the beating is being done by an Italian, particularly in the mafia- they play operatic music, choirs, or a soprana singing something like a hymn. what is that about????My favorite all time best loved (opposite of what you asked, sorry) theme song was to a show called Eddie's Father. It was so sweet. Charmed used to open with good tunes,. too. I personally hated the music to MASH (obviously thinking in the deep past) .
