What are your summer vacation plans?

spring and summer are fast approaching. What are your vacation plans for the spring and summer season? Do you vacation in the summer or winter? My family normally goes somewhere for at least a week, but this summer one of my children will be in Europe for 10 days and the other will be away for 5 weeks at a student scholar enrichment program. Their trips are making it hard for us to plan a vacation!

We usually go on vacation in the spring and fall. This spring we cannot afford a vacation. My boyfriend originally comes from an other part of the country, so we usually try to spend some time with his family in the fall. That will not cost us much, and is usually very nice. We get to spend some time with our nieses and nephews. As we live a 7 hour drive away from them we do not get to meet that often. I love playing with them, so i am absolutely looking forward too ur autumn vacation.

After Easter, I plan to spend a long weekend in London. My best friend lives there, so I like to visit her at least twice or three times every year. I hope to go to Wales in June and drive on up to Edinbugh in Scotland. I will probably spend a couple of nights in various cities en route to Scotland and take in some sightseeing on my journey. I just hope the weather is fine as I dislike driving along the motorways in the rain.

We are going to be moving to Florida this summer, so not sure if we will be able to do much since our money will be tied up in moving expenses. LOL But, hopefully, we can get settled a little and take the kids to Disney World after we get there. I think I am just as excited--if not more--than they are. I have always wanted to go and never did because my parents could never afford it.

I don't have a plan for summer vacation. As I normally go away before, because I enjoy this season and want to do important things around here. I guess it includes the normal things for me though but I can't wait for next years holiday! ~joey

This year I will be taking all my vacation leave to visit my son after two years of absense. I will be flying to Amsterdam to meet his new wife and her family. This will be a vacation of a lifetime for me. I have never really thought much about traveling outside the country, but I will to see my only son. He left 3 days after graduating high school and when I arrive it will be 2 years since he left. I am so excited!

i hope to be sitting by my pool more this summer,, if we ever get summer. and using our boat more often. I love to go fishing with my husband, and last year we only went once! It will be a busy summer because our youngest son graduates high school, and so there will be many parties to attend, and have one of our own also.

My son is a big Star Wars fan so we are heading down to Disneyworld for their Star Wars weekend in June. Then my wife is taking them up to her parents in Canada and leaving them there for 2 weeks, so we'll have a couple of weeks to ourselves.

We haven't had the funds to take a summer vacation in at least three years. We don't expect this year to be any different, as there are home repairs that need to come first. Also, my son is supposed to be in school all summer. It should be interesting trying to make him understand why he has summer school and his sister doesn't this year. Maybe we'll be able to swing a weekend trip up to Canada. The kids loved that the last time we went. A few years ago, we rented a camper at Six Flags and stayed for a weekend with the kids. We had a wonderful time. I hope to be able to do that again within the next couple of years (before my daughter graduates).

In the late spring, we hope to travel to Chicago to do some sightseeing and shopping. Since I'll still be in school over the summer, we'll have to take it one day at a time. That's when the Cedar Point passes will be pulled out for 1 or 2 day trips up to Lake Erie. We never tire of either place!

We seem to mainly take our vacations in the winter because my son and husband like to snowboard and ski. We make a trip up to Big Bear every year for President's Weekend and this past January we took another week long trip up there to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. I would LOVE to take a summer vacation but it's basically impossible because of my son's football schedule and training. He's in sports all year long so it makes it hard for us to get away for any length of time. We manage somehow during his 3 weeks off for winter break but that's about the only free time we have. We take alot of mini weekend trips when we can so that he doesn't miss school. We do not have any summer trips planned for this year. We do plan to do a bunch of weekend trips here and there but nothing is set in stone. There's only one place that I know I want to plan this year in November for our anniversary. There is a little spa resort in Palm Springs about 45 minutes from our home. I went there last summer for a bachelorette weekend for my niece and it was like a little slice of heaven. We only stayed for a couple of nights but I was so relaxed when I got home. I want to take my husband this year if we can work it out with our schedules. I wanted to go last November but it didn't happen. I think my next REAL vacation won't be until the summer of 2009 when my son graudates and we go away to Hawaii for the first time to celebrate his graduation. My husband wants to go down to Mexico this Christmas but I'm not sure if we'll be able to or not.

Well I just had a baby and I think she is still too young yet for a car trip. Me and my husband want to see the NFL Hall of Fame in Ohio and also the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is in Ohio too so maybe if someone can watch the baby for a weekend then we can actually go somewhere.

Vacation? I wish! I've been unemployed since September, so I can't afford a vacation. We'll still do weekend trips now and again to Salem, and we'll be staying over for a night or two when we exhibit at the Salem Maritime Festival. I've been dying to go on a cruise, but that won't be happening any time soon, that's for sure. We want to get a house, but first we have to pay off our debts, now that they're getting worse because I'm unemployed. If I could take a cruise, it would be to somehwere tropical. We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoom almost 5 years ago and we really enjoyed it. So, I'd like to try that area again. If only I could win the lottery..................if I played - hehehe. Well tonight their announcing the winner of the Publisher's Clearing House contest, maybe it will be me - yea, right! So all I get to do now is to be envious of all of you with vacation plans!

I intend to spend 2 months working, anywhere I can get a student job really, and maybe spend the last month relaxing with my family before starting up work again! Thankfully I'll have a break soon, which I simply can't wait for! I'm trying to find something to do as well but for now no plans other than to enjoy spending time with my family and friends in Paris.
