Starfish are not actually a fish at all , but are animals, and they are divided into two classes sea stars and brittle stars). Although starfish are thought to be passive they can be quite a voracious predator while in the sea. Starfish feed primarily on mollusks and other echinoderms. While starfish are commonly represented as having only 5 legs five legs, their are some that exhibit many more. So these are fascinating animals, so glad they are predators!!!

So star fish are not actually fish, yet another english language or meaning screw up then, whoever makes these words up ought to get the right meanings for each particular word, as it confuses the hell out of people sometimes, what with certain words meaning 2 or 3 different things at a time.

Theyre pretty to look at. And they can grow parts of their tentacles back, which is cool.
