What is the strangest urban legend that you have heard to have been true? Please include all gory details. I love a good story with a grizzly ending.

Well this isn't gory but it is true and scary if you are in this situation. As you may know Karate studios will let anyone walk in and tryout for a few days for free if you sign a waiver. Well when I was studying Muay Thai in Maryland there was this guy who came into my dojo to learn a little MMA. He told us he never had any formal training and that he just wanted to try the stuff he had seen on TV. Well by the end of the night he had put one guy in a Triangle Choke and didn't let go until he passed out. Then he actually dislocated one guy's shoulder with an armbar. Our coach told him he couldn't come back if he didn't take it easy in practice. A few weeks later at a dojo vs. dojo exhibit it was found out that this same guy was going around claiming he had no training and was injuring people. It turned out that he used to train and compete in Canada but never was good enough to turn pro. He came to America to try out by going to college for wrestling but he never excelled in it so he graduated, got a job and continued to pursue MMA. He never made it but and when he left the dojo he trained at he began going around injuring people to keep them from being able to compete. Pretty sick huh?

GO to snopes.com for urban legends. They post the stories, photos and then tell you which ones are true or not. I love this site for debunking stupid urban legends and then finding out which ones are real!
