God's Will??

I have heard it said, that when a person dies, it's God's will. If this is the case, they why does man go to extraordinary measures to keep a person alive seemingly in defiance of the will of God? I am thinking about Ariel Sharon, the comatose leader of Israel in this case,but, it is a ritual played out all over the world everyday.

No matter what, if is is God's will for someone to die, then the doctors will not be able to keep someone alive. If it is God will for someone to live then then doctors will be successful in keeping the person alive.
