Anyone tried posting poems on here? I like to read urban poems-- something with a modern twist. But I was thinkin the other day how modern art is totally overlooked by society it seems now. Back in the day, artists and poets were reverred more than now. Now it seems no one cares really for the arts. :\

I agree. I did a book signing in August and when people found out the book was poetry they turned and almost ran away, or said "oh if it wasn't poetry then i'd buy it" kinda depressing, but i'm keeping at it. :-D

what kind of poetry? I love it; wish it were more popular, but heck even books have to be mainstream fiction nowadays to get a second look. :\

Christian based poetry, like having faith, finding it, losing it....I also have some about hardships in life which I'm working on getting into book form. Maybe it'll do better.

Back in the day publishing was more rare, in the day of information where everything is easily accessed, and even in our own hands yes many things go unnoticed and over looked. But... If people really work hard and spread their work around. They will be noticed and remembered. Take care - DNatureofDTrain

Yeh, but like people can comment/discuss poetry or others poems. I guess I was wanting more to discuss than the last website I viewed. Something with more meat.
