Time for eliminating friends

I haven't had the unfortunate experience of anyone deleting me from their list of friends yet. But I was seriously thinking of eliminating some from my own list. Earlier this morning, while I was cleaning my closet and sorting through old clothes, it occurred to me why not sort out some of my mylot friends as well. Some of them had magically evaporated into thin air, while others are just an avatar who never bothered to give in their 2 cents worth of response to some of my discussions. I mean, I kept giving them my support and checking on their discussions. I will try to give a rational response even to topics that are not of my interest. I believe that friends among friends should at least have the decency to partake in each other's discussions. I'm just a little annoyed by this. Now, this may sound stupid, but how do you delete friends? I checked on the guidelines and FAQ section of mylot but there's no instructions on how to delete friends. I honestly do not like the idea of deleting friends as much as possible. Some of them will find this offensive. I know I will. But what's the point of having a huge collection of such friends like that anyway. To prove just how supportive a friend I am, anyone who bother to pitch in with this discussion will automatically be given a + rating.

I think alot of people do not realize that helps them make money to as for cleaning out your friends list the ones you say are not responding maybe you should send them a courtesy message asking them what is wrong,I have not done much on mylot because I am ill I have scarlet fever,or maybe they lost their internet connection these are just ideas for you to mow over sometimes there is a reason why,I guess I am just nice that way because I am that way in person,I wish you luck on your cleaning.

You have a point there, funnysis. I have send private message to some of them but only one replied back. If you can check my list of friends, they are not that many. That's why I will know right away the activites going on in each of my friends. As promised, I gave you + rating. Happy posting.

hi,friend, treat me also your friend.here i am supporting your view on the above subject. Its better to change "notify on"..so that both the friends get the discussions immediately and possibility of giving responses become easy and mutually benefited.

Hi dear, let them be..
When ever they feel they will reply you so at that time you will feel good for them.Till the time just ignore them..and if you support them then its for your benefit only and if you feel boring to reply them then just ignore them.. any ways thanks for your message and sharing things with me.. I will reply you tomorrow.Tc

Thank you charms88 for the automatic "+" you are going to give me! ;-)
Here's that old piece of advice again - don't take it too hard. Maybe your friends are busy? Maybe they forgot to change their setting to auto-notify? Maybe maybe maybe...
Just relax and have fun. ^^

Oh, charms, keep me!! I have only 3 weeks left of school! I always check in, but sometimes don't respond to a lot that I would like to. Then when I have time, I have lost the good ones. You always make good posts, I enjoy reading them and all who respond to you. If you do want to delete friends, I have had to delete spammers, go to your friends page. There is a delete button.

I think that you need to relax and not let it bother you. No one is going to get rich off of mylot and maybe you won't make any real friends. But maybe -- if given time, those who are currently not being supportive will start and you will have a great real friend. I don't know. I know that I don't come in here very often. I'm very busy and it just isn't a priority. Maybe they are the same? Good luck.

i dont like the idea of deleting friends on here. It seems the easiesy way to find new and interesting discusssions to respond to. You have to remember some people dont have alot of time to be online or can only be online during the weekend. I for one am on a computer all day at work, so the only time i really get online to answer is either before work or on the weekends.
I think the more friends you have the more discusssions you can answer the more money slowly adds up.
I have seen here this weekend that i have had some friends delete me, and actually one i tried to re-add and to see that for whatever reason doesnt want me as a friend, but thats ok i have enough friends here to make up for a lost few.
I would say give them some time to answer your discussions.
