I can't speak for everyone but I know that, for me, the opportunity to share what is on my mind is priceless. This is an intelligent community, without being stuffy. The discussions range from the mundane to the deep. In the course of my "real" life, I don't get to talk to people from all over the world, of all ages, genders and walks of life. I love when a question sparks a friendly debate between people who have never met and have no need to judge one another (well, not too harshly, anyway!) Total, unseen strangers share advice, information, empathy and laughter. I find that it adds a richness to my "real" life. The money is an afterthought, if I think of it at all. If I ever do refer friends, it won't just be in order to create a downline but to share such an open forum. My advice to you is to relax, enjoy the MyLot experience of sharing with others and maybe sell things on ebay in order to make some quick cash. Good luck to you and happy posting!
