Do you prefer communities of forums?

What is your favorite type of user interaction on the Internet? I mean ... Do you like to chat on forums or maybe through discussions like here on mylot ... or perhaps real-time chat clients like mIRC. My personal favorite is to chat through forums. Mylot is great too but things happen a little to fast here. Here you are on the first page ... the next thing yuo are on the 20th page where nobody can see you topic. What is your favorite way of interaction?

I like to write on forums more than on chat. But I use them both.

I prefer te forums :) Don't like the chats etc.
