computer for children - good or bad?

computer for children - good or bad? i think and good and bad.
GOOD:
they can know more about nature etc.
BAD:
if they playing with a computer lots of time, they need glasses.if they playing lots of time again, they can ail computer disease.
what you think about it?

I dont think computers were ever supposed to be anything but a good thing, but unfortunately, the scale is tipping in the wrong direction. Children have a wealth of knowledge at their hands on a computer, but it requires guidance and constant supervision. one wrong keystroke and they're into the bad stuff. for instance, (and i really hope you're over 21!)craiglist.com and craigslist.com is the epitome of good vs. bad on the internet.
