What has been your best travel experience?

HI everyone, and welcome to this discussion. Hope you find it interesting.
I was reviewing pictures from different trips, and I decided to try to know more about charming destinations to travel to.
I will give you a couple of them. I made a road trip from Washington DC to Cumberland, MD, to visit some friends I have there. On my way, I had to stop and admire the landscape I had in front of me. It was October, and I found gold and yellow colours all around. All forests were like in gold, it was so beautiful. I enjoyed that sight even more than the most famous Niagara falls.
One more, traveling to the Caary Island, actually to the island of Tenerife, there is a small town called Puerto de Santa Cruz, and in this town you may find a terrace to the sea where waves crash justat your feet. It's gorgeous.

For me, I don't think you can beat travelling by rail in Europe. It's a lot better than driving/flying because you can watch the scenery pass you by. One of the most beautiful rides I've been on was after taking the ferry from Dublin, Ireland to Wales and getting on the train there. I took the train in all the way to London. Wales has some stunning scenery. One railstop provided a view of a beautiful old castle. It was amazing. The coasts of the UK are pretty spectacular as well.
