During the course of our life we meet hundreds/thousands of different people. Some people we may meet once and never see again, like the checkout chick at the local supermarket. Others we may meet and become close to and know them for the rest of our lives, like best friends or work colleagues. Whether you meet them once, or stay friends with them for the rest of your life, we all come across interesting people at some stage. My question is, who is the most interesting person you've ever met, and why?

this one friend of my moms. she is very knowlegeable about many things. And she takes the time and tells you things in detail. She gets very into past happenings, and she just tells you about history events that happened. She actually grew up next door to elvis as a child in tupelo mississippi. just a very interesting person.

Holy moly. I'd LOVE to talk to this lady. I love people who tell stories from the old days. My boyfriend's grandfather was born in Poland. He was in the war and was put in a Nazi camp. He actually escaped, stole a plane and flew to England. That's where he met my Bf's grandmother and the rest is history. I have a lot of respect for him and I think that he's a hero. Most young people these days don't know how easy they have it and I think that all youngsters should sit down and learn as much from older people as they can. Wow, growing up next to Elvis in that little house. I would absolutely love to have a chat to her about that! What has she said about it to you?

she is very old now. but when i was a teenager, she had just albums and letters all over her home. she had them in shoe boxes, and photo albums. She said his mom used to bake them cookies in the hot mississippi summer, and have lemonade with her. she received many letters, and tickets for free to his concerts and would sometimes go. i could talk to her all day. she said she would never sell any of those items, because he was thought of as her friend., not "elvis"...amazing how many people that man has touched in his lifetime.

Yeah he was definitely a special man. I think it's great that she hasn't been tempted to sell any of the letters she received. Just one of them would be worth thousands. I guess that shows why you have such respect for her! Thanks for sharing the story, it put a smile on my face :-)

I used to go to a church about 9 years ago, and I went there for 12 years. During that time, I learned a lot more about an elderly lady who attended. She was a former circus performer, a former private investigator, and also was an extra in a Hollywood movie - I wish I could remember which one. She had so many stories, it was so amazing. She didn't just exist, she lived.

Wow, imagine what her life would have been like back then! Maybe in the 30s or 40s. Being a private investigator! She probably would have worn those cool trench coats.. and being a circus performer back then.. and in an old movie! Awesome. I'd love to chat to her.

i have 2 people that i find very interesting and both are passed on now. the first one would have to be my grandfather. He was such a good person, he would do anything for anyone but he didn't take no bull from people either. It took alot to make him mad, he was so laid back and such a flirt and bull s**tter, he always had a smile on his face a joke not far behind that smile. The second person would be my father, though i only got to know my father two years before his passing, i am finding more and more about him everyday that just makes me so proud to say that i am his daughter, he too was a very laid back person and always willing to help anyone. he was a hard worker but also a hard partier, though he never let the partying interfer with his working and supporting his family (my mother may disagree but i remember always seeing her get her support checks growing up)
