I wouldn't be surprised if Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, and other leftist and cowardly Democrats were both delighted that Vice President Dick Cheney was attacked earlier today in Afghanistan, and disappointed that he wasn't knocked off. The scary thing here is that the Taliban attackers knew precisely what Cheney's schedule was and nearly pulled off this brutal assassination. Where's the security? Where's the intelligence? Is President Bush himself at risk? All the more reason to keep U.S. armed forces in both Afghhanistan and Iraq and unmercifully pound the insurgents for the time being.
