A friend of mine from work used to miss work all the time and have all the excuses she can master. She once told us she was still travelling on a boat and got delayed ebcause of some technical probelms on the biat. But she didnt know i took the same boat and have arrived earlier with no technical difficulties.:) There are other million excuses that can be made. Sick, headache, traffic, didnt wake up early, etc. I tend to miss work only if I have something urgent to do outside of work. Or if i get bored with the whole work routine and want to get some rest by not showing up at work hehe... whats your common excuse?:)

Well, I know that there are day we are not feel like working, but I try to face that problem, frankly speaking, It's been quite a while that I don't get late at work, I wouldn't make up lame excuses to put my job at stake, after all I depend on my job to survive, I have a lot of fails but when it comes to work I don't play.

When I worked for a transport firm, that is one excuse we couldn't use blaming the tubes/buses/trains because we got up to date info on all the delays etc, so if you said there was a problem on a train service, they could easily check! Once I pulled a sicky because I wanted to go to a party and I was on night shift! I said I had a bad stomach ache, trouble is I thought I'd phone early so that they could get cover for me, I was on the train heading up to the party, as it was a long way, and as I was calling the train announcement came on and my supervisor couldn't fail to hear it! I had got caught out! I have a thyroid problem and usually blame absenses on that!

I don't think I ever made up anything not to come to work. At one time I never missed but I got tired of some of the other people missing for every little reason or just because they wanted to do something else. It made it hard on the ones there when we were short handed. I decided after awhile that if I was the least bit sick I would not come to work.

Im usually the goody goody type of a worker hehe, always early and no absences. But when people around me start leaving their work behind and leaving it to me coz tehy just make up excuses not to go to work, i went and did the same when they were the only one left to do it too. I had the last laugh!:) Not only that, i did it with a valid excuse to miss work hehe

Wow! that was lot of excuses for your workmate lol!!! I was a workaholic woman and I barely absent from my work because I want to meet production quota and process necessary document and not to delay any shipment that will cause my company to bankrupt ha!ha!ha For me work is a extension of my life a source of living and I treat my everyday work as my last day so I can excel effort and help my company to attain it's goal and being absent for no valid reason is a no!no!no! for me lol!!! She might be caught in some of her excuses and be sorry someday that the company have some excuses to replace her too lol!!!

Actually, my friend went on still and make excuses like she's sick and all and took a half day at work but my boss called her back and didnt accept her explanation. They were getting suspicious really. She was told to present all the proof if she will go to the doctor. She wasnt the best in being on time or being in the office. She was eventually laid off work later because the bosses think they gave her too many chances.

its actually no work no pay here too. But once you're a regular employee already , you get benefits to have a with pay holiday for 15days in a year or to good ones there's 5days in a month. :) But some people dotn really care if paid or not , just as long they dont have to work.:)

I have never missed my work for 3 days, if I am late, it is my fault to get up late. And busy traffic later. But I will go back to work in the afternoon earlier. I can leave the work on Friday afternoon if I want. I may excuse if my boss asks me, but they have never asked me about my being late since a few years ago. Before that, I helped my mom at the market, I was always late for work. My boss had asked me, I said I was sick and had blood check.

I don't usually miss my work but yes i am no exception to miss the work using some excuse if i have to. I usually use the excuse of not being well to take leave for th day. For being late i usually take excuses of traffic, alarm didn't go, no water at home, urgent service man showed up, billing got delayed. If i have to skip some party kind of or meet up with my friends i usually don't make a call of being late or not attending instead just be calm and when i get a call from them just tell them i was tired and taking rest and forgot all about the meeting. http://www.earnwhileyoulearn.co.nr/

My best one is to pretend I'm getting sick in the bathroom untill they send me home. No one checks that one. The other good one I used was I missed the bus and they only run on the hour.

Two of my most recent excuses where, the weather. We had receives a good 2 feet of snow in one day and they did not make it out to plow my street. My wife's company shut down for the day. The other was my wife car was having problems and I took it in to the repair shop while she took my truck. The only bad part is a I was doing good for a bit in saving up my days off. Now I have maybe 2 left if I'm lucky.
