What do you think about the rumour of Amanda Tapping(Carter) moving to Atlantis?

Apparently she had signed for two more years of SG-1. With SG-1 finishing at the end of this season. The talk is that she will stay on with Atlantis at the start of season 4. Personally I think its great news. Though I suspected that a few of the regular SG-1 cast would be showing up from time to time in Atlantis, if the series carries on that is.

I think it's fantastic news! I think Sam will make a fabulous addition to the Atlantis cast. I wonder if She and 'Meredith' (hehehe) will continue to be such strong competitors with each other, or if he'll accept that she is clearly more brilliant than him :D
I would really like to know how SG1 is going to pan out first though, what about Sam and Jack??!!

I think if she goes to Atlantis it will add a lot to the show. Having both Rodney and Sam on all the time together should definitely make it more interesting. And I really hope Jack goes on Atlantis once in a while too, that way the Sam and Jack thing just doesn't end. That would be a major disappointment.

I think that would be great. I like the character of Carter and I think she'd do well on Atlantis. She's certianly stir things up on there. I agree that I think the other members of the cast might do cameo appearences now and then. It just makes sense. Still I hope Carter does go on there. It might get people who have only watched SG1 to start watching Atlantis as well, always nice for the studios to have happen.

I like her quite a lot too, and the dynamic between Sam and Rodney. I'm glad to hear that she'll be a regular on the show.
