The good old days. I can say that. I was there. And so was Slayer. Showing no mercy, Slayer took the world by the balls and never looked backed. I am remined of the coment someone from metalica made, something like "we sold out... every show" that made me sick then and even more now. Slayer is and always will be Slayer. Sold out shows without the lies of the week (metalica)is what makes Slayer metal.

The question should not be about where Slayer went, but rather when did everyone who "looks" like they rock get the contracts and the deals? Now, don't get me wrong- I was ALWAYS a Metallica fan (always...I'm almost 40 and still am), and I liked a few of Slayer's songs...let me put it to you this way- I was one of those Big-hair, thigh highs, mini skirts and no clue kind chicks. The guys I dated had longer hair than me in most cases. But back to the point- Music sucks anymore, and the problem is that the industry is too busy looking for a quick hit instead of something that will continually return their investment over and over again. Boy bands and crazy people who grow up to fast are the ones who everyone is being told they want. Long gone are the days when it was cool to be not politically correct, when it was not okay to know which band members of which metal bands were gay and only perpetrating the penetrating with women. Gone are the days when it was bad to toke with a fan backstage, and gone are the days when long hair was king and expenditures were huge and unneeded. Anymore, you have to be a Disney channel star in order to get a recording contract. You don't have to have talent, and you surely don't have to have a clue (because your PR manager will make sure to find someone to buy it for you). All you have to be is pretty enough and you can be a star! Then there are the rest of us, who are fun to look at but whose time has come and gone and who still rock better than these little teeny bopper wanna be's. Am I jealous that they made it? Maybe, but they made it on what they look like, and the recording techs took care of what they sound like. The rest of us have to have a clue... Then when we find that clue...we go on to write about it. I understand you, my friend...add me to your friends!

I don't like Slayer so much, they're too monotone for me. There are some song good and other are very similar so I get bored. I still prefer MetallicA expecially in early days. On June I will go to a great concert Motherhead and Iron Maiden and maybe Slayer will be special guest too.
