Favorite item bought off eBay?

I am curious to know what your favorite winning auction has been so far?
Mine would have to be one years ago, although technically I didn't win the auction itself, because I was outbid by a sniper. I emailed the seller saying I very much wanted the item, and if the high bidder fell through, I would be willing to go ahead and pay my highest amount. The bidder was a deadbeat, and so I ended up with the item.
What was it? A Star Wars Darth Vader helmet, used as one of the props in one of the movies. It came enclosed in a case. Gave it to my then-husband (now ex) as a Christmas present. He's a huge fan of SW. I didn't even try to out-do myself after that year!
What was the best thing you ever won? Why?

I think the best thing I have ever won on Ebay was a CD, the soundtrack to the Cutting Edge, I had looked for that CD for years to no avail and then when Ebay started up I was able to get it off Ebay and I was so happy to get it. I have listened to the CD a lot and really enjoyed it.

I have won so many wonderful things over the years but I would have to say that my two favorites were Christmas gifts for my neice and nephew. I won an autographed script of Pirates Of the Carribean for my neice and an autographed script of Scarface for my nehpew.
Those are their favorite movies. I went out and bought display cases for them also, but I made sure the cases could open from the front so they could take the scripts out and read them if they wanted.
The looks on their faces when they opened them were absolutely pricelss. They both thought they were so neat and so valuable that they don't want to touch them, so it wouldn't have mattered if htey could not be opened. They both were looking forward to showing tehm of to their friends. It was totally cool.
My favorite itme I won for my self was my laptop. I got such a great price and it was the same type of situation as yours. I was outbid but the top bidder didn't pay so in the end I got it anyways.

That's fantastic, finding movie scripts on eBay. I bet that's a gift they never expected. Isn't it fantastic? What's also great is that years from now, they will have something that many people don't. Maybe they'll get really lucky, and the scripts may be worth something at some point. Though I hope they hold on to them, even if they are worth a pretty penny!
My brother has gotten many computer items, like laptops, off eBay as well. I'm weary, afraid with my luck, I'd get a dud. Glad yours was great! Also glad you ended up with it.

Well this isn't such a great item to some but i buy my mary kay makeup off of ebay all the time rather than spending 14.00 a tube for it i bid on ebay for less :) Right now that has to be the best item i have bought some beany babies off there like 4 years ago

My favorite is probably my vintage Notre Dame football jersey. Mostly because now that I'm still pregnant, it still looks adorable on me. Just kidding! Its my favorite because its hard to find, super cute and it was VERY cheap!!

That's neat, I am a small fan of Notre Dame myself (I'm not much into watching sports, but when I do, that's who I watch!). Jersey's are so comfortable.

We buy a lot of stuff on Ebay all the time. Probably the best thing that I've ever bought for myself was a teddy bear soap mold. My sister sells a bunch of homemade stuff like at craft fairs and stuff. I make most of her soap for her so I have a lot of different molds. The teddy bear is one of the most popular ones that she has, though. It has definitely more than paid for itself.
We've also found some great deals on stuff for our baby. I bought him a really cute Sesame Street snowsuit that he wore a lot this winter. I got it really cheap.

I got my son this amasing spiderman jacket for christmas this year off of e-bay. It has a huge color picture on the inside lining and my son really really loves it. I also manages to get enough glycolic acid to give myself peels for a year for 10 dollars.

Even though I am a Tupperware consultant sometimes it's hard to find some items. Ebay is great for those! I've purchased some oldies but goodies and GREAT prices!!
