I like to buy my anything for my computer from either Newegg.com or Tigerdirect.com. They are very very reliable and you can find some sweet deals on there too. You should probablly check them out before you decide to buy anything cause you can probably find it there for cheaper.

I would avoid ebay. People love to sell broken computer parts there. The absolute best place to buy memory and computer parts in general is www.newegg.com. There prices are better than any local store and their selection is amazing. Make sure to check with your computer or motherboard manufacturer so you know EXACTLY what kind of memory and how much of it your computer can have. Some good brands to buy are Corsair, OCZ, and Mushkin. Avoid PNY, they don't cover their lifetime warranties.

I would never buy memory online except from a retail store like Best Buy, Circuit City, Comp USA, etc. You never know what you'll get anywhere else. Make sure you know the type of memory you need before you buy. I would go to a store if you're not sure.

I Suggest you to buy it from local store, please do not buy it from any online store, becoz if it is difficult for you to get it replace in case there is problem, then there is problem of warranty, how can you get warranty from an online store, even if you get it just think about the replacement time of it, so it is safer to buy it from local store where you can get quick service than online store.

That really depends on where you buy it. Most retail stores only have a 30 day return policy and charge a 15% restocking fee. www.newegg.com has a 30 day refund and a 1 YEAR policy to exchange any hardware with problems. They also have excellent customer service. The important thing to do is to research any online company you buy from.

Please buy it from any local store near to you. Becoz If you buy it from online store then you may face problem at the time of warranty and time to replace it. So I suggest you to buy it from local store instead of online store.

When I upgraded my computer memory I went to Staples and purchased mine. Also there is a good and reputable computer store in NY called J&R you can order from their website www.JR.com. I'd be leery about ebay as well. Also I'd like to add stay away from carpet while changing your memory. You should be on hardware floor or something like that not carpet. There's static in the carpet, this may damage the memory.
