Have you a great program for weight loss? Do you do it on your own?

Or do you try various things and sort of mix them up to get a result? I believe I am going to go back to weight watchers...I have periods in my life when I easily gain 25-30 pounds...usually spurred by a bout of inflamation that requires Prednisone to be taken over a 6 week period... THen the pounds jump on and here I go again...I have used the weight watchers program before and it is such a great lifestyle ..easy to eat whether home or away and not restrictive to the point that you feel so deprived and ready to "cheat" which of course only cheats yourself!!! Any suggestions for my future? I have just finished my last round of the drug one month ago..and my weight gain has finally trickeled off..so now the work begins...and I would appreciate any and all information you may have to share!!!!

All these weight loss regimes are reap offs. Save your money, yourself, and your time. Try this book called "Fit For Life", by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond. This book will not only cause you to lose weight safely and sound, it will give you a new lease on life. No restraints, no pressure just properly combining your foods. That's it. Read it for yourself. $7.99 who can beat that! There are no processed, overcooked meals that you have to purchase. This book focuses on natural healthy live foods.

Processed foods are so bad for us...if we just ate natural foods our bodies would be so much happier...the weight watchers I was referring to isn't the packaged foods part..I only do the natural foods...just a checks and balances of what's going in and why!!!

I have tried many and varied diets over the years (I have been overweight all my life) and I never found one that really worked. I suggest just eating healthier and watching your calorie intake. There is this nice free site that will tell you how many calories you burn in a day, how many you can eat to lose weight and they also grade your nutrition! You can enter and track your weight and the calories you eat in a day. Its a really nice site. www.calorie-count.com

I switch it up all the time. I walk a lot and use different workout dvds like The Biggest Loser and Tae Bo are fun for me. And I use my Gazelle and treadmill a lot. Find a workout dvd that you find fun and it makes it easier to get into it

I always go back to Atkins, it works for me and when the pounds creep on I try to go on the induction and drop those first 10 pounds. I took prednisone and other steriods for years, it is so hard to lose that weight. I have been steriod free for over 2 years now! it takes 1 full year to get the steriods out of your system.

That's my goal...steroid free...I have tried Atkins but for some reason once I begin it I am apt to regain weight quickly even on the maintenance...it kills me ...my friend can do it and we do it together and when we return to the maintenance I gain immediately and she maintains...she laughs...because I walk 5-7 miles EVERY day and she slacks and rarely exercises..and she's the one that can maintain it!! It must not be the one for me!!!LOL....My doc suggested steroids yesterday and I told him "no more...find something else"....I really need to get serious about Yoga again...it keeps me sane and flexible!!!!LOL
