Do you think playing violent games affect the general behaviour of a child??

Nowadays we can find chidren getting more and more addicted to internet games,particularly the violent ones with lot of shooting ,killing and bombing.Do u think it will affect the childs mental state making them restless, angry , or fighting and fidgety????

Maybe we won't see the results until years down the road. As the graphics get better and better things are starting to look too real --all the blood and gore. I think most kids know the difference, but some that are a little "off" anyway might have some kind of association with it. Too bad more programmers aren't making more strategic games involving something other than war and murder... Ultimately parents are responsible for what goes on in the household. If parents banned their children from buying these things, there wouldn't be a market for them!

I think it depends on the childs age. I played pc games very early(Most the violent stuf like Grand Theft Auto) and im at no state affected. I think its how the parents react, and not the child. People should take it easy. Just look at the news in TV with all that terror releated stuf. Why doesnt people do anything about that?

Yes I do! Absolutely. I believe that these games (as well as violent movies and videos) desensitize people to the value of human life decreases their level of empathy for others' sense of pain, be it physical or emotional.
