Start a new Discussion ---- Are they really discussion?

I have been going through so many questions and discussions and sometimes its really hard to answer as the answer is just yes or no I call them closed questions and usually move ojn and do not answer them. to me a discussion is one thaty provokes your thoughts and wants you to take a side either in agreement or disagreement and may be sometimes a middle ground too. I weigh my answewr carefully before typing many times. Discussion is something that ends with an open question and makes you ponder over a thought or an idea. sometimes the discussions change course in the middle of the answers as a new thread starts to emerge from them and I enjoy them immensely and may be I answer just that thread and move on. WHatever it is but mylot surely m,akes your creative juices flowing and makes you wonder and ponder and answer whatever but it does addicts you to itself,lol.

There are discussions then you have debates. Some discussions are lengthy some discussions are short, precise, to point, and sweet. No need to further it. To me a discussion is accordingly. How much you want to put into it how much you want to get out of it. To each his own in my opinion. Also one other thing I'd like to add: discussions can be "boring" and does not generate or motivate others to take part or want to participate in. There's a lot at hand when discussions are thought of.

Some topics that users do here in myLot are not really discussions. And right now there are so many open discussions that myLot administrator should stop giving credits when some one starts a discussion. If you make a search about a subject you will find dozens of already started discussion.
