HELP! How to create a web page?

I see this everywhere on mylot. Many people are looking for ways to create a webpage or looking for some software to help them out. Well I've decided to help you all out. I will help anyone out who needs it, just ask me a question in this discussion and I will do my best to answer it. And if I don't know it, we will learn it together!

I have decided to run a new entertainment site of my own where I will be able to post different stuffs about the music artists of my country. I am currently working on the layout with the help of my friend and it is really hard to make a really catchy layout. I want to make a site which looks good and people will never be bored with the layout. Do you have any suggestions on how my site should be?
