Australian rock legend Billy Thorpe died in the early hours of this morning, after a massive heart attack at age 60. Amongst his best known songs are "Most people I know (think that I'm crazy)", "It's a long way to the top", "Poison Ivy", "Over the Rainbow", "Mashed Potato", and "Sick and Tired". Rest in peace, Billy.

Off to Rock N Roll heaven. Loved his rendition of Over the Rainbow, is haunting. Here was a man who loved his life. Great smile. Did you see they ran his This is your Life episode last night. His mother was a darling. Any wonder he was a lovable man. One to never be forgotten.

Yes, I saw it! Well, I saw most of it. It was getting late, and well past my bedtime. I hope they replay it again, at an earlier hour. And hold a public service for him on tele, too, as so many people won't be able to attend, but will want to remember. I'm sure it will be a fantastic celebration of a larger than life character. It was so sad, all the interviews of his friends all day yesterday. I oculdn't help by cry with them. Heaven has got a few characters who are larger than life, and Billy Thorpe is definitely one of them!
